Since 1991, Visionaire has published ultra-exclusive publications, each with its own high-design format with collaborations with major fashion houses and artists. Decades 49 is the 2006 Visionaire edition whose theme is to encapsulate the twelve decades of style that coincide with the 120th anniversary of renowned Japanese department store Isetan. Ultimately, twelve portfolios by twelve fashion photographers and illustrators summed up the faces, fashions, and trends that made every decade from the 1880s to the 2000s. David Sims offers an ode to ’50s rockabilly; Steven Meisel compiles his most unforgettable images from the ’80s into one blockbuster collage; and in dedication to the ’70s, Mats Gustafson chose the 1890s to realize a vision of Belle Époque fashion in his signature elegant watercolors.

In near pristine condition, in original clamshell box. Marked number 304 from an edition of 4000.
