Untitled Postmodern Work, Geometry
Artist: Macdonald
Period: 1980s
Medium: Silkscreen
Format: shadowboxed in original frame
Dimensions: 47"L x 25 ½"H
During the height of postmodernism, artists experimented with screenprinting because it enabled them to register saturated colours. Geometric shapes, in fine art and commercial design, came to define much of the postmodern movement. We love the linear quality of this work and how it foreshadows the influence of postmodernism on everyday life; rendering shape, shadow, and line into a kind of minimalist lexicon.
This piece has not been examined outside of its original frame.
