Artist: Thiebésart
Date: Circa 1950
Medium: Silkscreen
Dimensions: 31 1/2 x 46 1/2 inches
Format: original poster (not a reprint). Unframed.
Condition: Immaculate. Professionally linen-backed.
Signed Thiebésart, we still do not actually know which Thiebésart created this work. Regardless, it is a fine example of post-war commercial advertising, promoting the frozen vegetables of Liebig, a French company which continues to exist today. This poster would have been hung in subway stations and kiosks. The utter euphoria of the woman’s face (not to mention that killer manicure) showcases the social standards of the day: frozen vegetables are better than sex. In fine condition, appears to have never been used. Linen-backed and ready for framing.
This item requires a $200 S&H fee due to its size
