Michel "Max" Leenhardt (1853-1941) didn't achieve quite the fame and recognition of Bazille, but nevertheless was influential for the generations of impressionists and modernists that followed him. In Paris one can see his contribution to the stunning murals in the Train Bleu restaurant at the the Gare de Lyon.
