Together, these firebrands and iconoclasts lived in and around the stunning château known as Fonfroide-le-Haut, a looming gothic-revival hotel particulier built in 1871 by family patriarch Claude Heri Leenhardt. For the next 150 years, the domaine would be the center for one of Provence's most powerful families; through two World Wars, Nazi Occupation, and the decline of traditional agriculture.

 

Today Fonfroide is the home and hallmark of the Fonfrège Brand.
